The Punch Bunch are all delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Shepherd as our brand spanking new Digital Director!
Ian has been with Punch for a little over a year now and brings a wealth of experience from some of the major design agencies in the North of England. In that time Ian’s involvement has helped change our business a lot. It has changed from the outside, but more importantly our thinking has also changed.
A big part of this change has been our hard work behind the scenes developing our portfolio of client services. When we started Punch was all about brand creation and design for print. As we approach the end of our 4th year in business we have a pretty even split of print, online and new media projects.

Ian Shepherd: solid design skills, rubbish brew maker.
[blockquote] “I am really happy to be part of a progressive team where client relationships are really valued. Punch have always been an ‘added value’ agency where client contact is crucial but our recent evolution has simply drawn us closer to our clients – something that is really positive for both parties.” [/blockquote] Any business should continually evolve and this has been a huge leap forward for us, where we used to have to think in a certain way but we can now develop cross platform campaigns for our clients. At the heart of any project our ideas are still king – but these ideas now develop along the most appropriate and engaging route for our clients in respect of their target market.
We have enjoyed steady growth in a difficult financial climate since we began in 2008. The continued development of our services has also been crucial in attracting new business – most importantly through our digital projects. In the last year we have been proud to begin working with Yorkshire Building Society, Cascade HR, iSiS-Ex, The Mabey Group, John Dyson & Sons, Masterton and Life Fitness amongst a number of others. We are also working on the early stages of one or two projects that could see huge changes for our business in 2013.
Just as importantly though, our development has allowed us to offer our existing clients more too. 2012 has seen Punch work more closely than ever with brands such as Cedar Court, Duresta Upholstery, Office Team, The National Coal Mining Museum and Tenet.
The Punch brief to ourselves for the next year is to continually push forward in developing both our team and our services. This has been evident recently when we were awarded outstanding agency status by the RAR recommended agency register – with an overall rating of 94.4% following feedback by our own clients.
We look forward to Ian enhancing our team as we continue to develop in 2013 and beyond…
