[/blockquote] We were originally introduced to Cedar Court because they had a need to consolidate their brand presence. Because of the nature of their business, different people at different Hotels were producing branded material that was not consistent. Our first job was to refresh their existing brand and produce a set of simple guidelines to ensure this could be easily applied in the future.[quote_right]To support their needs properly we often need to react quickly to a creative brief so the client can capitalise on an opportunity to bring new products and services to their clients.[/quote_right] Cedar Court are Yorkshire’s largest independent hotel collection and as such have a large and varied need to promote themselves. To do this we were asked by Bonner & Hindley, a leading industry marketing specialist, to form a working communications team by adding our creative ideas and graphic design visuals to their marketing strategies.
Very quickly we were providing fully integrated creative support on a range of projects including brochures, flyers, press adverts, photography, exhibition banners and online work.
The hospitality industry is competitive and fast moving and Cedar Court are proud of their regional identity and the brand they have built up over time. To support their needs properly we often need to react quickly to a creative brief so the client can capitalise on an opportunity to bring new products and services to their clients.

We have worked hard with Bonner & Hindley to define their Leisure offering along side their Corporate and Food & Beverage services in fresh and creative ways – most recently with the ‘taking care of you’ campaign – launched via a range of print and online media.For us, the best thing about working with Cedar Court is the variety of design projects we are asked to be involved with, and the platform we are given to work alongside their general managers to represent the Cedar Court brand throughout the region and UK wide.

Creating The Grand…
Having successfully implemented the group branding Punch were then asked to create a 5 star version to apply to their new luxury 25 million pound Hotel and Spa in York – The Cedar Court Grand. It had to have synergy with the group brand, but also reflect it’s unique status in the portfolio.
Initially creating an identity for the Grand was a challenge, it was little more than a building site when we first visited it, but we had to find a way to capture the public’s imagination about what was to come…
Our first campaign was ‘Inspired by the City’ in reference to the historical status of the building itself. At that point there was nothing to show people ! so we build up a level of expectation through words and images that created a sense of anticipation about what was to come.

They are an organisation with fantastic Yorkshire heritage and a broad appeal – and a constantly evolving creative need for exciting and imaginative graphic design to help them stand out against their competition.
