In another ‘getting to know’ blog, we take you behind the studio doors and introduce you to the talented Punch Bunch. This time, say hello to Graphic Designer, Jade who has recently joined our Digital Leeds Agency. Want to know her favourite thing about Punch? Or fave biccie to have with a brew? Read her Q & A…
What’s your favourite thing about working at Punch?
I’ve only been here for a couple of weeks so far, but the people are great. I’ve had a really warm welcome from everyone, and we recently went on a work social which was so much fun. The team dynamic is so positive, everyone bounces off each other so well. In my previous job, I pretty much worked on my own, so it’s good to now be in a team. Some of the designers at Punch have worked in the industry for over 10 years, so being a young designer I can really learn from them and be inspired.
Name your favourite campaign from the last 12 months.
There are so many to choose from, but I’d have to go with Nike’s ‘Dream Crazier’ campaign! It’s all about putting a spotlight on female athletes who have broken barriers and achieved their dreams, like Serena Williams and Simone Biles. Even though I’m not big into sports myself, I found it really inspirational. Personally, I think Nike knocked it out of the park with this campaign, encouraging women of all ages to dream big and never give up – similar to the ‘This Girl Can’ campaign. I’m looking forward to seeing more brands follow suit with powerful campaigns that address real-world issues to do with women’s rights, race and disability.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you
I used to be a Radio Presenter for the Student Radio Station at Uni. It was a right laugh, definitely an experience I won’t ever forget!
What do you think the future of marketing looks like?
Everything seems to be in a digital direction, and I think that’s only going to continue. I don’t think print is dead yet, but it’s definitely not the preferred marketing method anymore. I think we’ll start to see a lot more interactive design come into play, such as Augmented Reality (or AR for short).
Favourite biscuit to have with a brew?
A HobNob, without a doubt. It’s a well-built biscuit, making it perfect for dunking!
