This week we welcomed a new addition to our Leeds digital agency, who’s joined our Digital Marketing team – read on to learn more about Becca!
What are you most looking forward to about your new role?
So much. I’m excited to be working on new clients and coming up with ideas and campaigns to successfully market their businesses. My role here is a lot different from my last job, so I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into new challenges and working alongside a larger collaborative team. I’ve loved my first week, so I can’t wait to progress as a Digital Marketing Executive.
Something most people don’t know about you…
I used to frequently be an extra on CITV’s ‘My Parents are Aliens’! There’s probably footage somewhere on the internet of me lurking in the background…but not sure I want it to resurface!
Name your favourite campaign from the past 12 months…
Just one? Gosh, where do I start, there were so many fantastic campaigns in 2018! I thought all of Greggs’ campaigns were spot on this year, a true masterclass for anyone working in PR and/ or social. If I was to pick one, it would be the Fenwicks PR stunt, where the bakery flipped their sign so people could see the reflection when looking at the department store’s famous Christmas display. It was so simple (& slightly cheeky) but effective. It got people talking so that can only be a good thing!
How do you think marketing will change in the future?
I think it will be a lot more fast-paced, with digital playing a huge role in marketing communications. The pace at which we all live our lives has sped up dramatically, with most of us relying on technology, such as mobiles, tablets and computers to perform daily tasks. People don’t have the time to ‘waste’ on lengthy marketing campaigns, they want it instantly – so I think we’ll see a lot more snappy campaigns, using short-form content, marketed through digital devices.
Favourite biscuit to have with a brew…
Hmmm, difficult question, some may find it weird, but…I’d have to go with a Twix, with the ends bitten off, then used as a straw to drink my tea! Probably wouldn’t be the best for the office though, it’s a bit messy. I’m also partial to a good old Custard Cream.
Welcome to the team, Becca!
