Punch Creative has scooped the highest national accolade for its services to the design and marketing industry.
To begin with, everyone at Punch was delighted just to be shortlisted in a phenomenal ten categories at the Recommended Agency Register (RAR) awards. But to then win the titles for client service and the prestigious ‘Grand Prix’ marketing crown for the UK’s favourite agency with fewer than 30 staff totally bowled us over…
Voted for wholly by our clients, RAR is something we decided to become a part of to validate our services in the design industry – to help new clients understand and trust our services. Being part of the register is hard work in itself, our clients are continually asked to provide their comments and recommendations. If our level of feedback slips then you can no longer be a part of RAR.

Our membership of RAR is testament to our focus on the client experience and has played an important role in our continued development as an agency.

The timing of the awards could not have been better, with a 50% increase in turnover from the previous year and a prestigious (and growing) customer base including Yorkshire Building Society, the Cedar Court Grand (York’s first five star hotel) and long-established furniture manufacturer Duresta upholstery, we have retained a number of established customers whilst seeing significant growth in new projects too.
Acknowledging this expansion, we have continued to invest in the business and will move into a new design studio triple the size of its current headquarters, next month. The state-of-the-art office space in the Springfield Commercial Centre has been specified to fulfil the agency’s needs long into the future. For the first time Punch will have an on-site photographic studio and creative space ready for the three new recruits the team plans to appoint in the next six months.
We are proud of our achievements – especially given the challenging financial climate where marketing budgets are continually tightened. Our focus has been all about the client and making sure they are happy through good communication and a quality ‘end product’.
Director David Kirven comments:
[blockquote]“When the Punch journey first began we were determined to stand out from the crowd by being unswervingly committed to the customer experience during the creative marketing process. This may sound just like the aspiration of every other agency in Leeds and beyond, but our solid growth and recent industry recognition signifies just how true to our word we have been.”[/blockquote]
Client Claire Bowes, senior brand campaign manager for Yorkshire Building Society agrees:
[blockquote]“Punch are willing to go the extra mile to add value both from a creative and production perspective. When we started working together they quickly got to grips with our brand before continually delivering projects against exceptionally tight timescales.”[/blockquote]
With major growth experienced in Punch’s digital division in the last 12 months, David predicts that website builds and social media campaigns will continue to prove a dominant part of the business into 2014.
He concludes:
[blockquote]“Because we have a number of established client relationships and partnerships with other creative organisations in Yorkshire and beyond, our services are being increasingly sought for collaborative projects whereby we can add value, strategy and brand cohesion to both traditional and digital marketing campaigns. The next 12 months are sure to prove a very exciting time for us indeed.”[/blockquote] Enjoyed this post? why not browse the rest of our blog entries?
