Every year is an opportunity for brands to show their support with famous campaigns. In this blog, our marketing agency in Leeds lists the best International Women’s Day Campaigns of 2023.

 

Barbie – ‘You Can Be Anything’

Future generations of girls need role models. That’s why in this famous campaign, Mattel have created Barbie dolls in the form of seven female leaders. Big names in science and technology have been represented, in order to inspire.

Mercedes-Benz – ‘Be One of Many’

“It’s time that women are no longer the exception but surrounded by many other women.” – Mercedes-Benz. This brand strongly supported the theme of International Women’s Day, sharing a video ad that challenges opinions.

ITV – The Women of This Morning

This is an amazing follow-up to 2022’s ITV International Women’s Day campaign! This year, presenter Holly Willoughby was joined on This Morning by the many women that work hard every day to put the show together. She also delivered a speech to give these women the recognition they deserve.

French Connection – ‘Women Can’

We certainly can! For this marketing campaign, UK based fashion brand French Connection partnered with feminist organisation, Young Women’s Trust. The brand released limited edition shirts embroidered with inspirational quotes. 20% of the total revenue will go to charities. This is a perfect example of actions speaking louder than words.

Häagen-Dazs – ‘Women Who Don’t Hold Back’

This brand really has gone all out! They’ve launched a global rebrand across all their shops, digital and social platforms, adding the line ‘Rose Mättus, Woman Founded Business, Established 1960’ alongside the Häagen-Dazs logo.

They also launched The Rose Project, where you could nominate women who deserve recognition. Take a look at the 50 shortlisted women here.
