More trouble for photoshoppers everywhere recently when Loreal had their fingers wrapped and had to pull images of Julia Roberts and Christy Turlington plugging their face cream.
Photoshop is a great tool for any design agency to fine tune an image to say exactly what you want it to. It is not always used for evil gains – such as making us think all hollywood actresses have had a lock in at the pub of eternal youth…
Take the example below, a shoot we did as part of an advertising campaign we created to launch a 5 star hotel in York. The Hotel was not yet open or even finished and as luck would have it, the day of the shoot was very murky too! Our idea was to position the Hotel in the heart of the city by using it’s most famous landmark, only you could not see it on that day!
You can see what we were able to achieve on the day – compared to the end result which said everything it needed about the environment and it’s setting…judge the results for yourself below
